Will my data be deleted when my cloud credit reaches 0?
Normally, our system will send a reminder when your Cloud Points reach 25 points. During this time, any services that use Cloud Points will continue running until the balance becomes insufficient.
Once your Cloud Points are insufficient to cover the charges for any active services, those services will be suspended. If no top-up is made, the services will eventually be deleted.
Below is what happens based on the type of service you are using:
- DNS Hosting
If you are using Cloud Points for DNS hosting, the service will be suspended once there are insufficient points to cover the current subscription plan.
During the suspension period, your existing name servers and DNS records will remain active and continue functioning. However, you will not be able to add, modify, or delete any DNS records until the service is fully restored.
If no top-up is made, your DNS records will be permanently deleted, and the service will be terminated after 14 days from the suspension date.
Important: Once deleted, your DNS records cannot be recovered. Any services linked to the DNS (such as websites or email) will stop working.
- Nova Cloud/GPU Instances
If you are using Cloud Points for Cloud Instances, the instance will first be shelved (temporarily stopped) when the credit becomes insufficient.
If no top-up is made within 14 days, the instance and all associated data (including snapshots) will be permanently deleted after 14 working days from the date the credit became insufficient.
To avoid any data loss, we strongly recommend keeping your Cloud Points topped up regularly.
