Unable to Login to RDP
I cannot login to my RDP
If you’re unable to access your Windows server via Remote Desktop (RDP), it could be caused by several reasons such as network issues, firewall rules, incorrect credentials, or the RDP service not responding.
✅ Step 1: Run Server Diagnostics
Type “Run Server Diagnostics” in this chat and click the button to perform a basic ping test to check if your server is reachable.
🛠️ Step 2: Check Credentials and IP
- Ensure you’re using the correct IP address, username, and password
- Make sure you’re connecting using RDP port 3389
🔐 Step 3: Check Local Network/Firewall
- Ensure your local firewall or network isn’t blocking outgoing RDP connections
- If you’re behind a VPN or corporate network, try connecting from a different internet connection
