I registered a domain through portal but got a failed registration notification. What should I do next?
Failed domain registration can happen for several reasons. Below are some common causes and recommended actions to ensure successful registration:
1. Incorrect Information: Errors in registrant details, such as company information or invalid name servers, can prevent successful registration.
- You may need to submit supporting documents, such as a Business Certification, for us to verify the company name. If the name on the domain does not match the name on the certificate, you will need to re-register the domain.
- If the name server is invalid, please provide the correct name server to ensure the domain points to the right server. Failing to do so may result in the cancellation of the domain registration.
2. Domain Restrictions: Certain domain extensions have specific restrictions or requirements based on their extension or intended content.
- Some keywords, such as “king,” “bank,” and “Malaysia,” have restrictions. To proceed with the domain registration, you will need to provide an undertaking letter and supporting documents to justify the registration.
